Oilers Win Rain-Shortened Game In Hoptown

The rain stayed away from Hopkinsville Wednesday night just long enough for the Oilers to down the Hoppers 2-1 in Game One of the other semi-final matchup. The win gives the Oilers a 1-0 lead over the Hoppers in the best-of-3 series.

The Oilers led the Hoppers 4-1 heading into the bottom of the sixth inning when the game was suspended by weather. After an hour rain delay, the game was ended with the score at the time the teams completed five full innings of play.

Game Two of the Owensboro/Hoptown series is currently scheduled for tonight in Owensboro. Stay tuned for updates …
