The Madisonville Miners are proud to introduce a completely re-built coaching staff for the 2026 season, a group defined by energy, experience, and a shared commitment to developing athletes the right way. This new leadership team brings a fresh identity to the Miners as the organization looks to elevate its on‑field performance and strengthen its player‑development culture.
With a blend of collegiate coaching experience, modern training philosophies, and proven success across multiple levels of baseball, the Miners’ 2026 staff are ready to usher in a new era at Elmer Kelley Stadium.

Head Coach: Stephen McNett
Stephen McNett joins the Madisonville Miners as the new 2026 Head Coach after a successful and impactful career across multiple levels of collegiate baseball. He steps into this role following two seasons with the Moundbuilders, where he continues to serve as Associate Head Coach and leads the pitching staff.
From 2018–2024, McNett was the Head Coach at Central Christian College of Kansas, where he became the program’s second all‑time winningest coach. During his tenure, his teams set numerous top‑ten program records on both sides of the ball, including team and individual marks in home runs, doubles, triples, batting average, OPS, stolen bases, saves, and strikeouts. Under his leadership, the program produced two SAC Gold Glove recipients, multiple First and Second Team All‑Conference selections, and two players who went on to sign professional contracts.
McNett’s coaching experience also includes roles at Coffeyville Community College, Nelson University, and Pratt Community College. His pitching staffs consistently excelled, breaking program records in strikeouts, saves, and opponent batting average at multiple stops. Known for his player‑development mindset and competitive culture, McNett brings a proven track record of elevating programs and preparing athletes for the next level.
Hitting Coach: Lincoln Hackim
Lincoln Hackim IV joins the Miners as Hitting Coach, bringing a modern, development‑driven approach shaped by his experience as both a collegiate athlete and a rising coach. A native of Stow, Ohio, Hackim earned PBR All‑State honors during his standout high school career before continuing his playing journey at Tri‑C, Triton, GTCC, and ultimately the University of Northwestern Ohio.
His time as a student‑athlete helped form a coaching philosophy centered on detailed preparation, accountability, and long‑term player development. Currently, Hackim serves as an assistant coach at Cuyahoga Community College, where he works as the catching coach, assists with hitting, and oversees the program’s strength and conditioning efforts. His role includes daily practice structure, player development planning, and building a competitive, disciplined team culture. Previously, Hackim served as the Head of Player Development and Lead Trainer at H24 Training, designing and leading training programs for youth and collegiate athletes. His work with Division I and professional catchers and hitters has shaped his forward‑thinking approach, blending traditional baseball knowledge with technology‑driven training and data‑informed development. Hackim brings a high‑energy, athlete‑focused mindset to the Miners’ offensive development

Pitching Coach: Riley McElfresh
Riley McElfresh joins the Miners as Pitching Coach, bringing a diverse background in collegiate, summer collegiate, and travel baseball. A native of Cable, Wisconsin, McElfresh most recently served as a graduate assistant at Division III North Central University during the 2025–26 season, working primarily with the pitching staff while supporting daily operations and player development.
McElfresh also gained valuable summer‑ball experience as the assistant head coach for the Shallotte Shallywags of the Old North State League. At the travel‑ball level, he coached and instructed with PineTar Academy, working extensively with pitchers and helping organize youth baseball camps.
As a player, McElfresh competed in two seasons at Viterbo University (NAIA) after beginning his collegiate career at Bay College, where he set the program record for career appearances. He brings technical knowledge, energy, and a strong developmental mindset to the Miners’ pitching staff as he begins his first season in Madisonville.
With three new leaders at the helm — each bringing unique strengths and a shared commitment to player development — the Madisonville Miners are poised for a revitalized and competitive 2026 season. This staff represents a renewed vision for the program, one built on preparation, culture, and a drive to compete every night.
The Miners look forward to welcoming fans back to Elmer Kelley Stadium this summer as a new era of Miners baseball begins.
