Miners Beat Railroaders; Matthew Peacock Joins Miners; Hoptown Rainout Rescheduled

Madisonville Downs Fulton 6-5 In Twelve Innings

Madisonville Miner catcher Andrew Tanous delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 12th inning to drive in Cory Finkler from third base, and the Madisonville Miners (4-4) defeated the Fulton Railroaders (5-4) by the score of 6-5 Tuesday night at Elmer Kelley Stadium.

The win gives Madisonville a four-game winning streak and moves the Miners 1/2-game back from first place Fulton and Dubois County.

Madisonville gets the day off on Wednesday before hosting Dubois County at Elmer Kelley on Thursday night.

Matthew Peacock Joins The Miners

The Miners picked up another pitcher when RHP Matthew Peacock joined the Miners on Sunday, June 7.  Matt attends the University of South Alabama, and his hometown is Saraland, Alabama.  We welcome Matthew to the Miner family.

Hoptown Rained Out Rescheduled for June 18

The Miners visit to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, to take on the Hoptown Hoppers on Monday, June 8, was rained out .  The game has been rescheduled for what will now be a doubleheader against the Hoppers on June 18.  The first game will get underway at 6pm CT.
