Miners End Regular Season With 9-6 Loss to Hoptown at Elmer Kelley

The Miners ended the 2017 regular season on Tuesday night with a 9-6 loss to the Hoptown Hoppers at Elmer Kelley Stadium. Alex Walker collected the Win for the Hoppers, Carson Imes took the Loss for the Miners, and Hoptown relieverJonathan Jacks earned a three-inning Save.

The loss dropped the Miners to 18-22 for the season.

Playoff Picture

While Madisonville has concluded its regular season, several teams still have one more game to play. As of the time of this post, the Miners are in third place in the OVL West standings, 1/2-game behind second place Paducah and 1/2-game ahead of fourth place Fulton.

Fulton is scheduled to play at Muhlenberg County on Wednesday night to make up a rain out from July 6. Paducah is scheduled to play Henderson to make up a rain out from the same date. The outcome of both games finalize the playoff bracket.
