Miners Have Hoppers Number

Madisonville Miners 5, Hopkinsville Hoppers 3.  (From Hopkinsville). Madisonville scored all of their runs in the second and third innings. Jake Perry led off the second with a single and Kevin Dupree followed with a 2-run home run. Josh Wetzel tripled later in the inning and scored on a passed ball, giving the Miners a 3-0 lead. The Miners scored 2 runs in the third inning off 4 hits.
In the fourth inning the Hoppers scored a single run when Taylor Ellis was hit by a pitch, advanced to second on a single by Chris Carrier, moved to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a sacrifice fly by Mitchell Gallagher.
Ben Rodriquez led off the bottom of the sixth with a home run reducing the Hoppers deficit to 5-2. Mitchell Gallagher scored the final run after being hit by a pitch and driven home by a double by Jeffrey Kammer.
Austin Bickerton picked up the win allowing 3 runs in 6 innings of work. Miles Wagner picked up the save in relief.
Geordie Carlson took the loss allowing 5 runs in 6.33 innings of work.
