The Miners got back in the winning column on Wednesday night with an 8-2 victory over the Muhlenberg County Stallions in Greenville.
Brandon Dusenberry got the start and picked up the Win. Brandon pitched 7.67 innings, allowed nine hits, two earned runs, and struck out three Stallions. Mitchell Bault pitched the final scoreless 1.33 innings to seal the victory, even striking out the side in the bottom of the 9th to end the ballgame.
At the plate, Chase Hensley hit a solo home run to lead off the top of the 4th inning. The Miners batted around in the 4th inning, scoring seven runs. Madisonville added an insurance run in the top of the 9th on a sacrifice fly by Austin Sistrunk.

The win keeps the Miners in 4th place in the OVL standings with a 9-7 record, seven games behind 1st place Hoptown (17-1). Muhlenberg County drops to 3-13 overall.
Madisonville travels to Fulton on Thursday night to take on the Railroaders before hosting Dubois County at Elmer Kelley on Friday night. Both games get underway at 7pm Central Time,
