Game One: Miners 10, Oilers 9 (seven innings)
The Miners won Game One over the visiting Owensboro Oilers in walk-off fashion, 10-9, at Elmer Kelley on Wednesday night.
Owensboro held an early 2-0 lead after the 1st inning, but the Miners erupted for five runs in the 2nd to take a 5-2 lead. Each team scored twice in the 4th inning to make the score 7-4. Owensboro scored five runs in the top of the 6th and led 9-7 heading into the bottom half of the frame, where the Miners tied the ballgame at 9-9 with two runs of their own. Madisonville scored one in the bottom of the 7th to win the ballgame.
Madisonville got home runs from Connor Moss (2-for-3, 1 R, 3 RBI and Nolan Ramsey (1-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI), and Moss drove in the winning run with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 7th to secure the win for the Miners.
The Oilers were led at the plate by Tyler Tichenor(2-for-5, 2 R, 3 RBI), Braxton Morris (2-for-4, 3 RBI), and Tyler Shewmaker (2-for-4, 2 R, 2 RBI). Shewmaker belted a home run for the Oilers.
On the mound, Oiler reliever Chase Randolph took the loss for starter Andrew Lyles, while Miners hurler Colin Hudson picked up the win.

Game Two: Miners 4, Oilers 3 (seven innings)
The Miner won the nightcap 4-3 over the Oilers, with Cameron Smith picking up the win on the mound and Wesley Birchmeier collecting a save for pitching a perfect seventh inning to nail down the sweep.
After three scoreless innings, Madisonville scored twice in the bottom of the 4th to take a 2-0 lead. The Oilers answered with two of their own to tie the game heading into the bottom of the 5th, where Madisonville retook the lead 3-2. Both teams scored one run a piece in the 6th inning, with Madisonville taking a 4-3 lead into the final frame.
Shane Connahan provided the big blast for Madisonville in Game Two, belting a line drive home run into the gap in right-center field. Connahan finished the game 3-for-3 with 1 run scored and 2 RBI. Connor Moss picked up where he left off in Game One, batting 2-for-3 with two RBI in the second session.
Tyler Tichenor (1-4), Ben Rhodes (1-4), and Jake Wilson (1-3) each had an RBI for the Oilers in Game Two.

Standings
The sweep moved the Miners (17-11) within 2.5 games of league-leading Dubois County (21-10), who lost to the Hoppers (10-17) by the score of 9-6 in Hoptown on Wednesday night. The two losses dropped Owensboro to 8-21 on the year. Fulton (16-13) had the night off on Wednesday.
Madisonville travels to Hoptown to face the Hoppers on Thursday night, and the Railroaders visit the Oilers in Owensboro.
