Miners come from behind to beat the hoppers

The Madisonville Miners found themselves in a familiar spot last night.  Trailing the Hoppers 3-1 going into the bottom of the 6th inning.  The Miners were able to tie the game 3-3 with a Jackson Martin double and then an RBI double by Jack Perry.  Josh Wetzel came to bat and single to score Perry.  The Miners took the lead in the bottom of the 7th with a single by Martin and an RBI single by Jake Perry.  An insurance run was added in the bottom of the 8th by Colton Nussel who singled and after advancing to 3rd base, scored on a  pass ball by the pitcher.  Reid Clements was stellar from the mound by retiring the first 11 Hopper batters.  He allowed the first hit in the 5th inning.  Clements left the game with a no decision and Jackson Everman finished the game for the win.  Box Scores Click Here.
