The Miners picked up their second straight win with a 7-3 win over the Paducah Chiefs Wednesday night at Elmer Kelley.
Madisonville jumped out to a 7-0 lead after only three innings of play, but Paducah scored three in the top of the seventh inning to put some pressure on the Miners bullpen. Things got very interesting when the Chiefs loaded the bases with two outs in the top of the 9th, but Miner reliever Jefferey O’Doherty slammed the door with a strikeout to end the ballgame.
