The Miners (3-3) tagged the Bombers (4-1) with their first loss of the season on a 2-1 Madisonville victory at Elmer Kelley Stadium on Thursday night.
The only runs of the game came in the seventh inning. After the Bombers scored an unearned run on the top of the seventh, Madisonville answered with two unearned runs in the bottom half of the frame to take the lead.
Dylan Givens picked up the Win in relief of Miner starter Brandon Dusenberry, who pitched five scoreless innings but left with the score knotted at 0-0. Wesley Birchmeier got the final out to notch the Save.
Bomber starter Renton Poole pitched well and earned a No Decision, as reliever Brian Wichman gave up the two unearned runs in the 7th. Fabian Reyes pitched the final few innings for the Bombers.
