Miners Defeat Chiefs In Extra Innings
Nolan Ramsey crossed the plate for the winning run on a Logan Jarvis single in the top of the 11th inning to give the Miners a 6-5 win over the Chiefs in Paducah on Monday night. The Miners trailed 5-1 after seven innings but scored one in the eighth and three in the ninth to force extra innings.
The Miners scored six runs on sixteen hits and three Paducah errors. Paducah scored five runs on fifteen hits and one Miner error.
Genesis Hillard continued his torrid hitting, going 3-for-5 on the night with one run scored and one run batted in. Joe McGuinness added his own 3-for-5 night at the plate with an RBI.
Mitchell Bault pitched the final two scoreless innings of the ballgame and notched the Win, allowing two hits and striking out one. Josh Wetzel pitched the final frame and took the Loss for the Chiefs,
