Miners Sweep Doubleheader In Owensboro

The Miners and Oilers played two games on Saturday night in Owensboro, with the Miners winning both matchups.  Madisonville won the first game in seven innings, 6-3, and then needed two extra innings to capture the nightcap, 6-4.  A complete summary of the games will be posted when it becomes available.

The back-to-back wins give Madisonville (3-4) a three-game winning streak and move them into a fourth place tie with Hopkinsville (3-4).  Owensboro (4-3) falls into a tie for first place with Fulton (4-3). Dubois County (4-4) sits alone in third place in the OVL standings.

No games are scheduled for Sunday, June 7.  Madisonville gets back in action on Monday night against the Hoppers in Hopkinsville.
