Fulton Railroaders 8, Madisonville Miners 0. (From Fulton) The Railroaders finally broke a 4 game losing streak shutting out the Miners 8-0 in Fulton. The Railroaders totaled 11 hits and had one error with the Miners getting 3 hits and committed 3 errors on the evening.
Fulton’s runs came in the 3rd and 5th innings scoring 4 in each. Daniel Goff was 2 of 4 at the plate including a 3 RBI homerun. Another solo homer by Greg Fettes added to the victory. Both Riley Benner (2 of 4 and RBI) and Zach Bailey (1 of 4) had doubles with each scoring one run.
Madisonville’s 3 hits were singles by Michael Colorado, Matthew Barger and Josh Westzel.
Starting pitcher CJ Lee earned his 3rd win on the season going for 6 full innings. He allowed 2 hits with no walks and struck out 7 batters. Keaton Baker, Will Hazen and Tyler Nichols finished off the game throwing for one inning each. The loss goes to Abraham Almonte who lasted just 3 innings allowing 8 hits, 4 runs (3 earned), one walk and had 2 strikeouts.
